How to use it
- Enter an amount in KWD. The result in EGP updates as you type.
- Use the swap button to convert the other way.
- Check the rate date under the result, and the quick-reference table for common amounts.
The formula
EGP = KWD × Rate(KWD → EGP)
To go back, divide by the same rate: KWD = EGP ÷ Rate.
About KWD to EGP
Egyptians are one of the largest expatriate communities in Kuwait, which makes this a busy remittance corridor.
Both sides can move: the Kuwaiti dinar is managed against a basket of currencies, and the Egyptian pound has floated more freely since March 2024.
Because the dinar is worth more than three US dollars, even small rate differences add up on a month’s salary. Check the rate date and compare providers.
Assumptions
- The rate is a mid-market reference rate, not a bank’s buy or sell price.
- Rates are published once per working day and cached on your device for up to an hour.
Common mistakes
- Expecting a bank or exchange shop to give you the reference rate exactly.
- Forgetting to check the publication date on weekends and public holidays.
Questions

Enter 1 above for the latest reference figure and the date it was published.
Why is this rate so large?
The Kuwaiti dinar is the highest-valued currency unit in the world, and the pound has lost value against the dollar in recent years.
